Melanie Murphy is a Columbia-native who realized her calling for event planning when helping with a friend's wedding years ago.

She started By Invitation Only...Event Planning and Design in 2005 and quickly became known throughout the state for creating events filled with emotion and a timeless sense of wonder.

To date, Melanie and her team have worked with more than 200 couples to plan spectacular weddings that reflect their personalities and visions.

By Invitation Only has designed weddings in numerous venues throughout the state, and especially loves the challenge of transforming a backyard, barn or other non-traditional area into a beautiful reception space.
