De Andra and I just clicked from the very beginning~ I remember when she came to our bridal show booth and was literally jumping up and down with excitement at our design and possibility of working together! I absolutely loved the direction she was headed in with her colors and ideas. We began designing the space adding in some unique details to really set the event out on its own!!!
De Andra and Thomas had a very romantic and intimate ceremony in the Olympia Room at the Historic 701 Whaley. We hung crystal chandeliers over the couple and lined the aisle with large clouds of babies breath in large vases. Then guests moved down stairs to the Grand Hall for a fabulous dinner and dancing.
The couple wanted a lush old Hollywood feel so we designed the space with this in mind. We designed and hand crafted purple paper flower hanging chandeliers that were suspended over our dinner area. There was an installation of photographs of Hollywood’s finest actors and actresses.
We gave definition to the dance area with long elegant sheer panels, furniture and silver candelabras with elegant tapers~ all of it was topped of rich purple up lighting.

Our gorgeous, gorgeous couple!
Guests were ‘greeted’ by this stunning moss elephant and black carpet where their photos were taken as they entered the event~ just like at the movies 🙂
I am in love with this custom monogram for the doors.
Their beautiful programs.
A close up of the aisle and babies breath ‘clouds’.
One of my all time favorite moments captured!
And my other!!!!
The couple had a wine unity ceremony.
Their seating cards with their monogram.
So here is a look at the Grand Hall~ you can see our hand made paper flower chandeliers~
Close up of the table.
A look at on of the other designs on the tables.
A look as the sun went down.
Love all the portraits of actors, and yes that is a portrait of the couple during their engagement shoot on the bottom!
A look down towards our dance and lounge areas…loved the sheer white panels to give some definition.
Now you can see the rich purple lighting coming in to play~
So this was the first hanging cake we did at 701 Whaley and it was so spectacular~ Tamera at Slice of the South really out did herself on this gorgeous cake!
So this was super fabulous~ as a late night snack, the bride brought in 2Fat 2Fly Wings …and she got to be first in line 🙂
The couple gave each of their guest a home-made mini pie to take home and have sweet dreams with!
Of course….a beautiful shot outside the beautiful building!
