It was such an amazing weekend for a quiet, emotion filled ceremony and toe tapping, ‘get down’ reception!
This beautiful couple chose to do something a little different…their ceremony was held at the most charming B&B in Edgefield, South Carolina. Pleasant Lane Acres Bed & Breakfast is owned by a dear friend of the family and was the most perfect backdrop for this couples beginning as husband and wife. There were about 40 people total in attendance and I dare say there was not a dry eye when the bride came down the stairs to her waiting father –
After the ceremony – which took place early afternoon- a super delicious Parkland cake was served along with a homemade ‘wedding punch’.
Later in the evening, the rest of the fun began- the couple had an evening reception at the South Carolina State Museum with about 250 family and friends welcoming them!!!
The museum came alive with soft ivory linens, persimmon chair ties and an incredible array of flowers by Southern Stems. The bride wanted all different floral arrangements on the tables that followed her colors of wine, orange, and green.
The couple opted for a little different ‘guest book’ than the traditional – guest were asked to fill out note cards giving the couple ‘advice’ and ‘words of wisdom’ which will later be place in a scrapbook along with wedding photos!
The night was lovely and fun was had by all- what an amazing couple!!
