Last year was so busy that we just realized we never blogged about two of our beautiful couples from the year before. They are too gorgeous not to show everyone, so here is the first.

Annie and Robert wanted an elegant event with lots of fun. They even scheduled the wedding around when the Finesse Band could perform, and that turned out to be a fantastic decision. The band had the crowd dancing all night, and the bride even got in on the action with a little guitar playing.

The couple loves to travel and wanted to bring some of their favorite foods from places they’ve visited around the world to their guests. Capital City Catering did what they do best in coming up with a creative menu that was completely unique to Annie and Robert. We made signs for each station with pictures of the couple in the location that inspired the menu item, including a lo mein station for San Francisco’s China Town, la truffade, a favorite dish from Paris, and Beef Brisket for Texas.

Annie picked one of the prettiest bridesmaid’s dresses I’ve seen and that inspired the subtle pallete with lots of white, creams, gray and a touch soft purple. It worked beautifully against the lush green gardens at Seibel’s house. Add in some beautiful fall weather, and the whole event seemed sprinkled with magic.

We kept things interesting with a mix of round and square tables.  We used light grey linens to set off the centerpieces by Something Special Florist. They were absolute perfection – a mixture of high and low arrangements of white hydrangeas with purple accents in silver vases. (photo by Ash Little)

I am so glad Annie and Robert decided to use the tent liner. It adds such softness and elegance. Our crystal chandeliers provide a little sparkle. Rentals by Palmetto Party Rental.

Capital City Catering’s lighted bar backed with our bookshelves divides the ceremony and reception areas.

I cannot say enough about this cake from Michelle’s Cakes Scapes. Just gorgeous.  I had to limit myself to one photo of it. The groom purchased the lace runner in Brussels.  (photo by Ash Little)
